In the morning, your guide will pick you up from Kathmandu for a scenic drive towards Lamjung district. The first part to Besisahar takes around 6 hours, with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and waterfalls. After Besisahar, the road becomes rougher, and the drive continues a dirt track, passing through villages like Bhulbhule, Ngadi, and Syange, before reaching Jagat.
Today, your trek begins as you follow the Marsyangdi River towards Chamje, a village famous for its beautiful waterfalls. From there, a steep 30-minute climb leads you to a suspension bridge that crosses into Tal Village. In Tal, you'll pass the ACAP office for a permit check and enjoy views of a large waterfall. The trail then becomes more rugged, with a narrow gorge near Chaijo, followed by another suspension bridge. After a few hours, you reach Karte (1,829m). The climb continues steeply to Dharapani, marked by chortens, mani walls, and serving as the gateway to the Manang district.
Today, you leave Dharapani and head towards Chame, with stops at Thonche and Bagarchhap, a village blending Hindu and Buddhist cultures. After passing through pine forests, you'll reach Danakyu, offering stunning views of Mount Manaslu. The trail steepens to Timang, a ridge with panoramic views. Continuing through Latamro's forest, you’ll arrive at Thanchok, a Tibetan-influenced village with chortens and prayer flags. A short hike takes you to Koto, the gateway to Nar-Phu Valley, and finally, you reach Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, with teahouses, a health post, shops, and a bank.
You start your hike early, crossing a suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi River, with stunning views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurnas. After an hour, you reach Brathang, home to Nepal's largest apple farm. Continuing, you cross the Swargadwari Bridge into a U-shaped valley near Dukure Pokhari, where the landscape shifts to steep rock walls. The trail then leads to Pisang, split into Lower Pisang, offering panoramic views of Pisang Peak and the Annapurna range, and Upper Pisang, a traditional village requiring a 50-minute uphill walk.
The trail begins with a steep climb, offering stunning views of Annapurna II and III. After 3 hours, you reach Gyaru, a peaceful Tibetan-style village, followed by Ngawal, with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, hills, and a river below. The descent takes you through Yak pastures and alpine fields, with drier, rockier terrain as you approach Braga, known for its 900-year-old Buddhist Gompa. Nearing Manang, the Annapurna range, Ganggapurna, and Tilicho Peak dominate the view. Manang, one of the largest villages on the circuit, offers many facilities for trekkers.
Today is reserved for acclimatization and rest in Manang. To help your body adjust to the altitude, take a short hike to Ganggapurna Tal, a beautiful freshwater lake formed by the Ganggapurna peak and glacier. The hike to the lake is relatively easy, taking about 2 hours round trip. From Manang, it’s a 50-minute walk to the lake. For a better view of the Ganggapurna glacier, you can hike a bit higher. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the stunning scenery while allowing your body to adapt to the altitude.
Today's trek is short but scenic. Leaving Manang, the trail ascends through farmland and stone walls with stunning views of Annapurna III and Ganggapurna. You’ll pass Tengi, the midpoint between Yak Kharka and Tilicho Base Camp, and continue to Gunsang, where the landscape becomes drier with alpine shrubs. Following Marshyangdi Khola, enjoy views of Chulu West and Chulu East. After crossing a wooden bridge, you’ll reach Yak Kharka, your destination for the day.
Today’s trek starts with a gentle ascent through rocky meadows along the Kone Khola. After an hour, you’ll reach Letdar (Ledar), where permits are checked. The trail then leads to Thorung Phedi, the last stop before Thorung La Pass. This section is challenging due to the increasing altitude and rugged terrain. If you wish to ease the climb ahead, you can hike to Thorung High Camp, located 300-400 meters higher than Phedi, a 1-1.5-hour walk.
Start your day at Muktinath Temple, known for its eternal flame and holy taps. Visit Jharkot's Shakya Gompa, then follow the Kali Gandaki River to Kagbeni, the gateway to Upper Mustang. Continue to Jomsom, passing Ekle Bhatti, where the trek ends. Optionally, you can take a jeep ride from Muktinath to Jomsom for an additional cost.
Before you leave the valley, you carry the memories of your adventure with you. Upon arriving in Pokhara by jeep, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to unwind and reflect on the journey. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing stroll through the vibrant Lake City, soaking in its lively charm.
