The fast boat ride from mainland Bali to Nusa Penida takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The sea is usually calm in the mornings, but it can get bumpy in the afternoon depending on the wind and tides. If you are prone to motion sickness, we highly recommend taking a motion sickness pill about 30 minutes before boarding the boat.
Your private driver will help you get your bags to the harbor terminal. The boat crew members are very experienced and will handle loading and unloading your main luggage onto the fast boat safely. We recommend keeping your essential valuables, cameras, and passports in a small daypack or dry bag that you carry with you.
While beaches like Crystal Bay are excellent for swimming, places like Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach have incredibly strong undercurrents and waves. The climb down to those shores is also very steep and strenuous. Most couples prefer to enjoy the spectacular views from the top cliffside viewpoints, which are safe and perfect for photos.
We deliberately placed the first one-hour massage right after you return from your Nusa Penida island tour to help you relax and soothe any sore muscles from hiking. The second massage is scheduled towards the end of your northern temple tour, giving you one last chance to completely unwind before your flight home.
Yes, your accommodation on Nusa Penida will have electricity and standard Wi-Fi. However, please note that mobile network signals can be a bit spotty or weak when you are traveling between the remote cliffside viewpoints on the eastern and western sides of the island.
